▍Introduction to System
As an extension of intelligent scheduling system functions, the electronic station board system consists of data central sub-system and station sub-systems, as follows:
1. Data center sub-system
The sub-system provides the key facilities of computation, network and storage and business software relevant to electronic station board services.
2. Station sub-system
Building electronic station board terminals at public transit stations, which consists of such modules as video monitoring, multimedia information release, thermal dissipation, power and control, can realize more developed and convenient station management and interpersonal interactions.
▍Workflow
Electronic station boards are generally located in stations along public transit routes to indicate the directions, stops and vehicle departure forecasts. Workflow of the system is shown as follows:
The real-time information of vehicle location and operation status will be sent by the intelligent on-board host on a public transport vehicle to an intelligent scheduling server for data processing and then transmitted to an electronic station board server for business logic analysis to calculate the information of the next approaching station. Then such information will be transmitted to and displayed on relevant electronic station boards. Passengers can select the vehicles they need based on such information to enhance the travel experience.
